Creative Climate, funded by Creative Australia, is the new national peak body for arts and climate providing leadership, connections, advocacy and access to high-quality resources that support artists, arts workers and arts and cultural organisations and their funders to transition from a carbon economy and adapt to the impacts of climate change.
We will build and support the capacities, methodologies, networks and coalitions we need now and for the future to enable meaningful and systemic change over the coming decades.
We intend to play a critical role in steering the collective process of deep-time remembering, of remaking and learning, of the building of connections, of the valuing of enduring relationships, the creation of speculative narratives — the cultural change — that will be of deepest value for our shared futures.
Creative Climate is an artist-centred consortium of groups and individuals, all with significant track records working at the intersections of art and climate response. This consortium is made up of Angharad Wynne-Jones, Catherine Jones, Green Music Australia, Centre for Reworlding, pvi collective, A Climate for Art, and Matt Wicking.
