Creative Climate abides by the Guidelines for Federal and ACT Government World Wide Web Sites issues by the Australian Privacy Commissioner.

You can generally visit creativeclimate.org.au without revealing any personal information, unless you provide it directly to Creative Climate. The information we receive depends upon what you do when visiting the site.

Information We Collect

As in the case for nearly all websites, Creative Climate makes a general record of your website visit, logging the information for statistical purposes:

  • your server’s address

  • the name of the top - level domain from which you access the internet

  • the date and time of your visit to this site

  • the pages accessed and documents downloaded

  • the previous internet address from you which you linked directly 

Creative Climate uses this information to measure the reach of its online activities and analyse website traffic to creativeclimate.org.au and user behaviour. We will not identify users or their browsing activities, except where a law enforcement agency may exercise a legal authority to inspect ISP logs. In some instances including subscribing to the Creative Climate mailing list, submitting an Expression of Interest (EOI) or registering for a Creative Climate event you will provide to provide personal information.

Use Of Your information

Where you elect to provide us with personal details Creative Climate will add these to a database and use it to administer Creative Climate. Where you have provided Creative Climate with personal information, we will take every reasonable step to prevent the loss, misuse or authorised accessing of that information.

Disclosure Of Information

Creative Climate will not disclose or sell your information to other parties without your consent.

By submitting an EOI or registering for an event, you grant Creative Climate the right to disclose your information to the Creative Climate partners / stakeholders including Creative Australia. Creative Climate will not disclose your private information to any other third party without your consent.

Security

Creative Climate will collect personal information electronically and you should be aware that there are some risks to transmitting data via the Internet, unless it is encrypted with a security certificate.

Creative Climate web forms usually will not have encryption. Creative Climate uses third party providers for financial transactions. These third party providers use encryption and related server-side mechanisms for secure data transfer (eg Credit card details).
