pvi collective

pvi collective continue to make participatory adventures and creative interventions that playfully agitate the spaces between the climate crisis, late stage capitalism, political inertia and australia’s deep entanglement with fossil fuel capital.

recent work includes the social licence watchdogs  [2024] - a fictitious debt collection agency aiming to hold the fossil energy sector financially accountable for its damage to the planet, pvi will continue to sniff out opportunities for our watchdogs and welcome invitations to generate more critical attention in this space.

looking ahead, pvi are undertaking major creative development towards ‘the booster protocol’, a new, immersive artwork that will invite audiences to engage with social tipping points from across time and space.

pvi are actively engaged with the wider sector through initiatives designed to strengthen creative communities and create connections between practitioners.

in the lead up to cop31, pvi are co-initiating a creative campaign lab as an umbrella hq for those who will be travelling to cop with ideas, artworks and innovative actions under their belts that may require on the ground support.

pvi’s downloadable code of ethics template is a small offering to artists and groups to assist with navigating corporate sponsorship, values alignment and potential impacts on freedom of expression during a time of extreme global uncertainty.

piloted in 2024, special envoy, a partnership between pvi collective and in-between time continues to build momentum as a carbon saving alternative to long haul travel by uk presenters and festivals. striving to set a new industry standard, special envoy empowers artists and presenters to forge innovative connections without the carbon footprint. this new mode of collaboration blends physical and virtual interaction to harness local expertise, lower emissions and create ground-breaking new art. a report on the special envoy journey so far is due for public release in the latter half of 2025.
