Adaptive Futures - An online series for performing arts centres thinking about climate change

PAC Australia, in collaboration with Creative Climate explore how Australia’s performing arts centres play a powerful role in climate action. This free series of online sessions will be held fortnightly and is available to the entire creative sector.

Funded by Creative Australia, this series will address climate change through a business and creative lens. The series will explore how arts centres play a role in taking action on climate issues at different  levels within your organisation.

Discussions include the changing responsibilities of board and executive in managing climate risks; achievable ways to decarbonise your venue; how to move beyond carbon neutrality and into regenerative practice; how your programming can support climate action; and how your own story creates powerful changes in behaviour.

Recognising that every job can be a climate job EVERYONE in the creative sector is welcome to join the conversation.

Each session is targeted at staff from across a performing arts organisation or other cultural institutions that operate a building and program artistic works. Participants are welcome to attend every session or direct your energies on the sessions aligned with your work

The focus of these Sessions is on helping you take ACTION, so Sessions will include homework, templates, case studies or processes for your organisation to adopt. The final session will be an open discussion where you can share your learnings or next steps.
